Tesla has opened a new sweepstakes giving the public a chance to be among the first to ride in the Cybercab, the company's autonomous vehicle without a steering wheel or pedals.
What Happened
Tesla announced two ways fans can enter for a chance to win a trip to Austin for the inaugural rides. Participants can either take a ride on Tesla's Robotaxi platform by August 23, or mail a physical entry on a 3-inch by 5-inch piece of paper containing their full name, mailing address, telephone number, email address, and date of birth to Tesla at 1 Tesla Road in Austin, TX 78725. There is a limit of one entry per stamped envelope, though entrants may send multiple entries in separate envelopes. Winners are set to be announced on August 25. The Cybercab has already been operating internally with employee rides earlier this month.
